For all normal drilling work using drills with a strong core, for drilling into solid materials with lager drill diameters.

Advantages: goods centering when starting to drill as this type is the easiest type to grind the thinning.

In narrow web and wide fluted drills,keeping of the regidity and smooth chip removal are possible.

For materials with low cutting resistance and good chip removal like cast iron,aluminium,plastic.

B type web thinning is suitable.

Advantages:this type is applied to decrease rake angle and avoid chipping of cutting lips.

For drilling sheet-metal and soft materials,for blind holes.

Advantages:good centring,minimal formation of burrs when through drilling, precise drilling in thin sheets and pipes.
